• L'Oreal Lumi Magique Primer // review •

I've mentioned in the past that I don't really see
the need for primers and they're over-rated...
Please forgive me -
(I was wrong).

This little guy, ahhh this little guy. My skin is dull, so bloody dull at the moment, and sometimes in life we just have to fake it. A healthy glow is the only thing I'm after in life (slight exaggeration, but just roll with it) and the L'Oreal Lumi Magique Primer is basically glow in a bottle. I picked this primer up on a whim after seeing Shaaanxo wearing it and loving it, and whatever she uses, I'll give a go. The primer promises to provide a light enriching base which illuminates the skin and provides up to 8 hours of hydration. I absolutely agree with this statement and can wholeheartedly say that it provides a luminous glow, a gorgeous pearly sheen and just generally perks my skin up and makes me look healthier.
I've been using a pump of this and swiping it all over my face as I love an all over glow as opposed to just applying it to the high points of my face. It works really well like this and the tiny particles catch the light beautifully. It is very moisturising which is amazing, but the moisturisation along with the light particles do not make me look shiny/greasy in the slightest, which I was worried about when I first bought the product. My make up stays in place all day and it works especially well with my more matte foundations, ie. Revlon Colour Stay and Estee Lauder Double Wear. I sometimes apply this primer with my fingers, sometimes with a brush, and it works well either way. So, to conclude - an all round winner!

Have you tried this primer?
I'm obsessed with it!

  1. I used to wear this primer couple of years ago, it is nice for people who need a little radiance for their dry skin!

  3. Oh my goodness, this primer looks and sounds incredible! I love the slight shimmer to it. I definitely need to try it! I usually don't wear primers, apart from my little samples of porefessional when I remember. I would wear this everyday though! x

  4. I used to like this but one day it separated on me and became unusable, I was quite annoyed when it's £10 a bottle - I'm still holding a grudge.
