The cult product; the one everyone has; the one everyone raves about.

Therefore, I needed to grab it.

I am all about the glow. Whether it's Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter - I need a little help from a highlighter to help my cheekbones stand out. I wasn't blessed with the bone structure of a Goddess so I need a little help from make up, but I aint complaining when highlighters are as good as this. The Balm Mary-lou Manizer had been on my wish list for so long, so when Feel Unique were having 10% off, I decided to treat myself. And I haven't looked back since.

The packaging of all of The Balm products are well thought-out and very specific to the brand - you definitely recognise The Balm products when you see their packaging. It's really cute and the theme is 'Wanted'. I love that the highlighter comes with a mahusive mirror as it makes it so much easier for touch ups, and the compact itself is small, so perfect for travel.

Golden tones definitely suit me more than pearly tones when it comes to highlighting and shimmer, and this shade is just perfect. It's a beautiful champagne colour that is shimmery but not glittery - and I definitely appreciate that, as I can't stand highlighters that are too shimmery and full of chunks of glitter. The highlighter is so buttery soft and you can tell that it's a high end, high quality product. It's so so pigmented and you only need to tap your brush into the pan to get a strong colour. You certainly need a light hand with this product as it can be easy to go overboard, but I love the fact that it's so pigmented as it means you don't have to work hard to build up a beautiful sheen. You can really sheer it down by tapping off most of the product before you sweep it onto your cheekbones, but I like a really strong highlight so I often pack it on. I've also used it on my cupid's bow and it looks equally as pretty, and it also looks stunning on the inner corners of the eye.

So in truth, this product is nothing like anything I already own. I often thought to myself, whilst reading the rave reviews, 'how can a highlighter be that good?!' But it is. It really is. And I recommend it to anyone. It adds the right amount of glow, the right amount of healthiness to the skin and it really makes me cheek bones stand out. It's fast become a staple product and I've been using it every morning for the past 2 weeks - definitely enough time to test it and be able to tell you that it's incredible.
